Responsibilities include maintaining a clean CDL and driving record, complying with DOT rules, loading and securing shipments, inspecting equipment, and reporting incidents promptly while delivering professional service to customers and coworkers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent experience.
• Must meet age requirement of at least 21 years old.
• CDL with proper endorsements required and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate safe, efficient transportation of steel service center products under Traffic Manager guidance.
• Meet and maintain CDL requirements within set time limits.
• Adhere to all State and Federal highway rules and regulations.
• Ensure proper loading, weight distribution, and load security for transport.
• Protect products from damage due to weather or handling during transport.
• Inspect fleet equipment, maintain cleanliness, and support new technology in trucks.
• Maintain professionalism with customers, co-workers, supervisors, and authorities.
• Report any problems or accidents to Traffic Manager and officials promptly.
• Prepare materials for unloading and supervise the unloading process.
• Complete the company program requirements (training and probationary steps) as needed.
