Position Summary

Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.

Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
  1. Maintaining product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transporting product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack, handtruck); replenishing, facing, and rotating product; building, changing, and taking down product displays; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space; and securing damaged or defective product.
  2. Managing backroom by organizing and consolidating backstock (product).
  3. Monitoring and reporting backstock inventory levels.
  4. Evaluating and processing damaged or defective product.
  5. Re-packing product.
  6. Organizing backroom materials (e.g., pallets, product shells).
  7. Operating powered equipment (e.g., straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (e.g., pallet jack).
  8. Completing store documentation and cleaning backroom.
  9. Maintaining areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating with store and company personnel.
  10. Identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions.
  11. Attending and completing company training and certifications, following policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
  12. Following applicable local, state, and federal laws.
  13. Utilizing a mobile device to complete work activities.
  14. Operating a motor vehicle.
  15. Providing customer service by resolving concerns, answering questions, and assisting store personnel.
  16. Performing other projects or duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Experience
  • Must be at least 18 years old or meet minimum state legal age requirements.
  • Six (6) months of work experience in related environments (e.g., distribution warehouse, grocery dock, construction, etc.).
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver license, acceptable driving record, and auto insurance.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift products weighing 25-50 lbs regularly.
  • Pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills And Experience
  • Beverage industry experience.
  • Customer service experience in problem-solving.
  • One year of experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
  • Straddle stacker and powered pallet jack certifications.
Physical Demands And Work Environment
  • Ability to lift, carry, and position objects up to 50 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to push/pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds and operate manual transport equipment over distances.
  • Fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for manipulating objects.
  • Physical exertion over sustained periods.
  • Ability to read small to large print.
  • Stand for at least 6 hours and walk at least 4 miles during the workday.
