Position Summary
Merchandisers work in local stores to keep Coca-Cola products fully stocked on the shelves. This position is primarily responsible for maintaining product availability and merchandising products at all designated accounts.
Position Responsibilities May Include, But Not Limited To
- Maintaining product in store racks, shelves, displays, and coolers by identifying replenishment needs; transporting product between backroom and display floor using manual equipment (pallet jack, handtruck); replenishing, facing, and rotating product; building and changing displays; maintaining signage; cleaning spaces; and securing damaged or defective product.
- Managing backroom inventory by organizing and consolidating stock, monitoring levels, and reporting.
- Evaluating and processing damaged or defective products, re-packing as needed.
- Organizing backroom materials such as pallets and shells.
- Operating powered equipment (straddle stacker, powered pallet jack) and manual equipment (pallet jack).
- Completing store documentation and maintaining cleanliness.
- Communicating with store and company personnel regarding the status and concerns of assigned areas.
- Identifying and reporting unsafe working conditions.
- Attending and completing company training and certifications, following policies regarding safety, equipment, and operations.
- Following all applicable laws and utilizing mobile devices for work activities.
- Operating a motor vehicle safely and responsibly.
- Providing excellent customer service by addressing consumer and store personnel concerns, answering questions, and assisting in locating products.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old or meet state legal age requirements.
- At least 6 months of work experience in physically demanding roles (warehouse, construction, healthcare, etc.).
- Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance meeting minimum legal requirements.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly.
- Must pass a post-offer drug test and background check.
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Beverage industry experience.
- Customer service experience with problem solving skills.
- One year of experience with manual or powered pallet jacks.
- Straddle stacker and powered pallet jack certifications.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to lift, carry, and position objects weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Ability to push and pull objects and equipment over distances without assistance.
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.
- Ability to stand for at least 6 hours and walk at least 4 miles daily.
