Job summary

Santa Maria, CA – Linde plc is seeking a delivery driver on 1st shift (6:00am - 4:30pm, Tue-Fri). You will deliver to customers (10–12 stops daily), document deliveries, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance. A Class A CDL with hazmat endorsement is required or must be obtained within 60 days of hire; 21+; no major violations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; proficient in reading and writing English.
• Two years of driving experience or recent Truck Driving School certification; valid Class A CDL.
• Must be 21 years or older; hazmat endorsement or within 60 days of hire.
• No preventable accidents, license suspensions, or moving violations in the past 2 years.
• No alcohol-related convictions within the last 10 years.
• Must pass a DOT physical and obtain a medical certificate.
• Ability to push, pull, move, and lift up to 75 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers by making an average of 10-12 stops per day, touching freight, completing paperwork, and providing excellent customer service.
• Accurately count and record the quantities and styles of products delivered and picked up.
• Complete hazmat shipping papers in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Conduct and report pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Identify need for timely vehicle repairs and/or maintenance.
• Build relationships and partnerships with internal and external customers to meet goals and objectives.
• Continuously build knowledge on how Linde's business operates to help the organization grow.
