Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines is seeking a CDL-A tractor/trailer driver in California to safely transport freight in compliance with FMCSA rules. You will perform pre-trip/post-trip inspections and handle loading/unloading as required, while maintaining paperwork accuracy and safety.

The role requires staying compliant with all regulations and operating in varying terrains and schedules. The position emphasizes safety, timely deliveries, and teamwork, with responsibilities across dock and road duties.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center and/or work assignment
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required
• Must pass FMCSA required medical exam and road test
• Must be authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Operate all types of equipment to perform safety functions, including manual transmission and tire chaining
• Safely operate a tractor/trailer in freight transportation per FMCSA regulations
• Maintain compliance with FMCSA and local regulations and keep required records
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle
• Handle loading/unloading at dock as needed and assist as required
• Report maintenance issues promptly to Fleet Services or supervision
