Job summary

Estes Express Lines in the United States is seeking a professional Truck Driver to operate tractor/trailer units across diverse routes. You will be responsible for safe freight transportation, compliance with FMCSA regulations, and maintaining records for regulatory requirements.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, HazMat/Tanker/Doubles endorsements, and the ability to perform vehicle inspections and handle heavy loads.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 21 years of age per FMCSA regulations; 1 year driving experience.
• Must possess valid Class A CDL.
• Must be registered with the FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Must reside within 75 miles of the domiciled Service Center/work assignment.
• HazMat, Tanker and Doubles endorsements required.
• Able to drive tractor-trailer per FMCSA requirements.
• Stable employment history preferred.
• Able to operate a forklift (min 7,500 lb).
• Able to lift ~70 lbs. and handle pallets.
• Able to drive all routes in diverse terrains and environments.
• Must pass FMCSA medical exam and road test.
• Must speak/read English per FMCSA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor/trailer to transport freight in compliance with laws and FMCSA regulations.
• Maintain required records for local, state, and federal regulations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Ensure safe and legal transportation of hazardous materials.
• Conduct security checks on equipment and cargo.
• Report maintenance issues promptly to Fleet Services.
• Utilize in-cab technology and electronic logs as required.
• Work required schedules including dock work and over-the-road trips as needed.
• Attend pre-employment checks including drug screening and background check.
