Job summary

ABF Freight in California is seeking a driver/load associate to perform pickup and delivery of cargo within the region, load/unload trailers, and operate standard dock equipment.

Candidates must have a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements, be at least 21, and pass DOT pre-employment screening. Schedule varies by location, with union benefits and weekly pay.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience preferred.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements; no automatic restriction.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Load/unload cargo and operate forklift as needed.
• Perform pre-trip tractor/trailer inspections and coordinate pickups/deliveries.
• Adhere to weight distribution laws and safety guidelines.
• Work days/hours vary by location; perform other duties as assigned.
