Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is hiring for a dock/yard position focused on pickup and delivery of cargo within a distribution center network. Responsibilities include loading/unloading, paperwork, and forklift operations, with shifts varying by location.

Qualified candidates have a CDL-A with hazmat and tanker endorsements, 21+ years old, and a clean driving record. Union benefits apply, including health, sick leave, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL Class-A with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements; no automatic restriction.
• Minimum 21 years of age; safe driving record; DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Exercise independent judgment in building and tearing down trailers to optimize time and resources, following weight distribution laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks including check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup, and pickup/delivery of cargo.
• Other duties as assigned.
