Job summary

ABF Freight is hiring for dock worker duties focused on pickup and delivery of cargo near the distribution center. The role includes loading/unloading, trailer setup, and paperwork, with forklift operation as required.

The position requires a Class A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker, and hazmat endorsements, and a stable work record. Candidates must be 21+, pass DOT tests, and be prepared for variable shifts across days, nights, or weekends.

Qualifications

• 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training possible for less than 1 year)
• CDL Class A with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements required
• Minimum 21 years of age
• Stable work history and safe driving record
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements
• Shifts vary by location, including days/nights/weekends

Responsibilities

• Complete routine paperwork and log loading sheets.
• Arrange trailer setup to optimize time, resources, and energy while following weight laws.
• Operate a forklift as needed.
• Load and unload cargo.
• Perform tasks from check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, setup, to pickup and delivery of cargo.
• Other duties as assigned.
