Saia in the United States is seeking an experienced tractor-trailer driver to move freight between terminals and customer sites across a defined region. You will plan routes, load and unload freight, and help ensure on-time deliveries.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience
• No DUI, DWI or license suspensions in past 3 years
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work a flexible schedule including nights/weekends/holidays
• Proficient in English reading/writing for shipping documents and records

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at company and customer locations.
• Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections following safety and quality procedures.
• Maintains records and load-related paperwork.
• Acts as first point of contact for delivery-related issues.
