Job summary

Saia is seeking a professional truck driver to move freight between terminals and customer sites within a defined area. You will drive tractor trailers, load/unload, plan routes, and ensure timely deliveries while maintaining safety and accurate paperwork.

Requirements include a valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, plus at least 1 year of verifiable driving experience. Expect a dynamic schedule with nights and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI, DWI, or license suspension for moving violations in 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions.
• Read/write/communicate English to perform tasks and review documents.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at locations.
• Plans routes and schedules for timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections per safety/quality procedures.
• Maintains records and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as first contact for delivery-related issues.
