Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking a CDL-A driver to transport freight between company terminals and customer facilities within a defined geographic area. You will ensure timely, safe, and cost-efficient deliveries while handling loading/unloading, route planning, and required paperwork.

Pay rate is $32.20 - $36.85 per hour, based on experience. Candidates must have a valid CDL-A with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays in varying weather

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI, DWI, or license suspension for moving violations in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in past 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and load/unload trailers.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays; able to work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at company and customer locations.
• Plans routes and schedules for timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections per safety and quality control procedures.
• Retains and maintains records and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as first point of contact for delivery-related issues.
