Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking qualified drivers to move freight between terminals and customer sites within a defined area. You will plan routes, ensure on-time deliveries, and maintain accurate paperwork.

The role requires a Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements, at least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience, and the ability to lift up to 100 pounds. A flexible schedule including nights and weekends is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI, DWI or license suspensions for moving violations in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious violations in past 6 months.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and handle cargo safely.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays; read/write English.

Responsibilities

• Drive tractor trailers to deliver and pick up freight.
• Sort, load, unload freight at company/customer locations.
• Plan routes and schedules for on-time deliveries.
• Follow pre/post-trip and freight handling procedures.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain records.
• Maintain load-related paperwork accurately.
• Serve as first contact for delivery issues.
