Job summary

Saia LTL Freight is seeking a professional Truck Driver to move freight between company terminals and customer sites within a defined area. You will drive tractor trailers, handle and secure loads, plan routes for timely deliveries, and ensure safety and compliance with DOT procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old and authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid CDL A with hazmat, tanker and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspensions for moving violations in the past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious traffic violations in the past 6 months.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to read, write, communicate and comprehend English to perform duties.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pick up customer freight.
• Sorts, handles, loads, and unloads freight at various locations.
• Plans routes and schedules to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, freight handling, and billing procedures.
• Conducts inspections following safety and quality control procedures.
• Maintains records and load-related paperwork.
• Serves as the first point of contact for delivery-related issues.
