Job summary

BlueLinx is seeking experienced Class A truck drivers to join our team. You’ll securely strap loads (no tarping), ensure timely freight delivery, and manage POD with customers.

You’ll also maintain daily safety checks, complete DOT inspections, log trips, and coordinate unloading with customers. Qualifications include a valid Class A CDL, 21+ years, and 12 months of verifiable tractor-trailer experience with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Secure loads properly and without tarping.
• Deliver freight accurately and on time; handle returns when required.
• Process Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers.
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate issues.
• Maintain safety checklist and DOT inspections.
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports.
• Direct unloading by customers when required.

What You’ll Deliver:

• Properly secure loads. NO tarping – ONLY strapping
• Accurate and timely delivery of freight and handling of customer product returns when required
• Manage Proof of Delivery paperwork from customers
• Interact professionally with customers and communicate customer issues
• Maintain daily safety checklist and perform all required DOT inspections
• Maintain electronic logbook and complete trip reports
• Direct the unloading by customers, when required

How You’ll Deliver:

• Valid Class A CDL
• Minimum 21 years of age
• 12 months of recent verifiable tractor trailer experience in the past 3 years
