Job summary

The State of Iowa is seeking a Local CASA Program Coordinator to expand CASA reach through robust community engagement and volunteer growth. You will recruit, train, and support CASA volunteers, serve as a liaison with courts and child welfare partners, and oversee case quality and reporting to ensure every child has a strong advocate in court.

This role emphasizes relationship-building, program development, and hands-on volunteer management to strengthen partnerships and maximize impact in Iowa

Qualifications

  • Ability to build relationships with courts and community partners.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Commitment to child advocacy and volunteer development.
  • Experience coordinating volunteers and overseeing casework.

Responsibilities

  • Grow community engagement and program reach by increasing awareness and partnerships.
  • Coordinate with courts, HHS Family Well-Being & Protection, and stakeholders to grow CASA case assignments.
  • Collaborate with community organizations to expand partnerships, visibility, and volunteer recruitment.
  • Develop and execute a strategic recruitment plan to grow and diversify the volunteer base.
  • Support CASA volunteers from assignment through case closure.
  • Review and submit CASA court reports on time and ensure compliance with policies.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, feedback, and networking opportunities to volunteers.
  • Ensure compliance with volunteer management standards and maintain records using data systems.
  • Assess ongoing training needs and deliver or coordinate pre-service training for new volunteers.
  • Develop and implement a continuing education plan and utilize virtual learning tools.
