Job summary

Iowa Health and Human Services (HHS), Division of Compliance, Bureau of Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) seeks a Local CASA Coordinator to strengthen community engagement and volunteer support for CASA cases across Cedar, Clinton, Des Moines, Henry, Jackson, Lee, Louisa, Muscatine, and Scott counties.

Qualifications

• Six years of full-time work experience in the administration or operation of a program or in providing oversight to stakeholders.
• Experience recruiting, training, and supporting volunteers or community partners.
• Ability to work with courts/public systems and diverse communities.

Responsibilities

• Grow community engagement and program reach through outreach and partnerships.
• Coordinate volunteers and oversee CASA cases from assignment to closure, ensuring compliance and timely reports.
• Train and develop volunteers with pre-service and continuing education.
• Maintain accurate volunteer and case records using data systems.
