Job summary

St. Joseph County CASA Program in Probate Court seeks a Supervisor of CASA Volunteers/Staff Advocate. This grant-funded, full-time role combines supervising volunteers with serving as the child’s advocate to promote sound advocacy and early permanency planning.

Responsibilities include supervising CASA volunteers, assigning cases, attending weekly staff meetings, guiding court reports, supporting volunteers during home visits, coordinating with DCS, and preparing court reports and statistics.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years experience in case management in a human services setting preferred.
• Knowledge of the juvenile court process with experience working with at-risk children and their families required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to meet deadlines in a fast paced office.

Responsibilities

• Supervise CASA volunteers assigned by the Probate Court.
• Maintain monthly telephone contact with volunteers and monitor case status.
• Assign new cases to CASA volunteers promptly.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and participate in case conferences.
• Provide guidance to volunteers for court reports and during home visits.
