Job summary

Midland States Bank is offering a Loan Servicing Intern position in St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL. The intern will assist with day-to-day Loan Servicing duties, gain exposure to escrow, tax, insurance, and regulatory reporting, and participate in special projects.

The role requires enrollment in a degree program with at least two years completed, strong teamwork, and excellent written communication. The internship runs for Summer 2027, with a 40-hour work week, typically 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Qualifications

• The internship runs Summer 2027, mid‑May to early August.
• The candidate must reside locally to St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL.
• Enrolled in a degree program with at least 2 years completed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are required.
• Ability to learn new software and banking systems; Excel and Outlook proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Servicing with administrative and operational tasks.
• Gain exposure to escrow, tax/insurance processing, flood compliance, and regulatory reporting.
• Support projects contributing to department priorities and process improvements.
• Perform data analysis and work across multiple banking systems.
