Job summary

Midland States Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Intern to support the department’s operational tasks and special projects for the summer of 2027. You will assist with data analysis, process improvements, and regulatory reporting while gaining exposure to escrow, tax, insurance, and collateral processes.

You will work 40 hours per week, Monday–Friday, in either St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL, reporting to the Loan Servicing team and collaborating across functional areas.

• Enrolled in a degree program with at least 2 years completed.

• Strong organizational, time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to work in a team environment and adapt to multiple banking systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Servicing with administrative tasks and data analysis across functions.
• Support projects in escrow administration, tax/insurance processing, flood compliance, collateral maintenance and reporting.
• Use multiple banking systems and MS Office to improve processes and ensure accuracy.
• Collaborate with team members and maintain compliance with regulations including BSA.
