Job summary

Midland States Bank is seeking a Loan Servicing Intern to support the Loan Servicing Department with routine tasks and special projects spanning escrow administration, tax/insurance processing, and regulatory reporting. The role emphasizes accuracy and collaboration in a fast-paced banking environment.

The position runs Summer 2027 (mid-May to early August) with a 40-hour week, Monday–Friday, and requires local residency in the St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL area.

Qualifications

• The internship runs Summer 2027 (mid-May to early August).
• Must reside locally to St. Louis, MO or Rockford, IL area.
• Enrolled in a degree program with at least 2 years completed.
• Strong written communication skills and teamwork ability.
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Assist with administrative and operational tasks across Loan Servicing functions.
• Gain exposure to escrow administration, tax and insurance processing, and compliance.
• Support projects that contribute to department priorities.
• Assist with data analysis and use of multiple banking systems and MS Office.
• Collaborate with team members while adhering to procedures and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned and maintain regulatory compliance.
