Job summary

Qualifications

• High school graduate required.
• Experience in a consumer credit or lending department preferred.
• Familiarity with the credit union's lending and collection policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of applicable federal and state regulations.
• Proficient in computer applications used for the role.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Energetic and motivated individual.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and maintains delinquent loan accounts and investigates missed payments.
• Handles outbound calls and responds to inbound calls.
• Maintains accurate collection records and files.
• Identifies members with disabilities and processes credit life and disability insurance claims and payments.
• Interacts with outside agencies regarding repossessions and recoveries.
• Explores innovative methods to encourage timely payments (e.g., direct deposit, payroll deduction, autopay).
• Processes, monitors, and maintains loan workout requests.
• Handles force-placed insurance, postings, refunds, and related adjustments.
