Job summary

PlainsCapital Bank in Lubbock, Texas seeks a Loan Processor to support commercial, consumer, and real estate loan operations. You will prepare, review, and process loan documentation, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations while coordinating with relationship teams and customers.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year office/clerical experience; banking/commercial loan processing preferred.
• Excellent PC skills and ability to learn/customize systems.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
• Excellent verbal and written and interpersonal communication with a customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end loan processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Generate and review loan documents, including attorney-prepared docs, ensuring terms and calculations are accurate.
• Distribute loan documents via DocuSign; monitor signatures and recording.
• Conduct OFAC screenings and verify business/regulatory compliance.
• Obtain D&B reports and third-party docs to support credit evaluation.
• Order lien searches, submit UCC filings, and ensure collateral perfection.
• Prepare releases of lien and coordinate filings with entities.
• Enter loan data into origination system and maintain status updates.
• Prepare deeds and modifications filings; ensure accuracy and timelines.
• Quality control of closed files to confirm documentation and uploads.
• Collaborate with loan officers, underwriters, and closing teams to close loans efficiently.
• May serve as notary public for loan documents per state rules.
• Maintain knowledge of lending regulations and ensure compliance.
• Support management with special projects and evolving business needs.
• Communicate loan status, outstanding items, and next steps to stakeholders.
