Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator of Loan Processing & One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) Compliance to advance student access and ensure accurate loan origination, reconciliation, and compliance with federal regulations.

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director of Financial Aid, you will manage COD and Workday interfaces, monitor SOR activity, generate reports, and support policy implementation and training for staff and students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; degree not strictly required if experience meets job responsibilities.
• Strong teamwork, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Data-driven decision making with strong analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Process federal student loan records in accordance with policies and regulations.
• Review, originate, adjust, and reconcile loan awards and disbursements.
• Monitor loan processing workflows for timely and accurate aid delivery.
• Oversee Schedule of Reductions (SOR) transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Resolve COD rejections and data discrepancies between Workday and COD; coordinate with IT and finances.
• Generate reports on loan processing, COD rejects, SOR activity, and compliance metrics.
• Assist with Workday updates, system enhancements, and SOP development.
• Interact with students and families to explain policies and procedures.
