Job summary

Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC) in Baton Rouge, LA seeks an Assistant Director of Student Financial Services to lead daily operations, supervise staff, and ensure compliant administration of federal, state, and private financial aid programs.

The role collaborates with Enrollment Management, Admissions, the Registrar, and the Business Office to promote student success while safeguarding resources, supporting audits, and implementing fraud prevention measures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, education or related field.
• Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience administering federal Title IV financial aid programs.
• Demonstrated supervisory or leadership experience in a financial aid or higher education environment.
• Experience using Ellucian Banner or comparable student information systems.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director in planning, coordinating, and evaluating daily operations of Student Financial Services.
• Supervise Financial Aid Counselors, staff, and student employees with coaching and training.
• Oversee processing, verification, eligibility determinations, and student communications.
• Ensure compliance with Title IV requirements and coordinate audits and reports.
• Collaborate with Admissions, Registrar, Business Office, IT, and Academic Affairs.
