American Business Bank is seeking a detail-oriented loan processor in Los Angeles to handle a range of loan types, including commercial, real estate, interim construction, SBA and consumer loans. Performs a variety of duties related to the processing of commercial, real estate, interim construction, SBA and consumer loans. Responsible for booking and funding all types of loans in the Bank’s core operating system. Performs a thorough review/audit of new loans, loans payments and non-indicative changes to the loan system. Assists lending officers’ interest calculations, billings and preparing spreadsheets.

Essential Duties

• Knowledgeable of the various types of consumer and business loans including commercial, real estate, interim construction and consumer loans. Maintains complete knowledge of loan types and necessary disclosures.
• Secondarily reviews booked loans, daily transactions and file maintenance for accuracy and completeness on activity.
• Accesses and reviews reports from the Bank’s OFAC system and FinCEN 314(a) and (b) lists and inquiries; appropriately reports positive hits detected by the Bank’s AML or OFAC software system.
• Books and funds all new and renewed commercial, real estate, consumer and SBA Loans with accuracy and efficiency based on loan packages according to Bank guidelines. Monitors rate changes and ticklers on loans.
• Completes required forms and verifies required documentation for loan processing, payments, advances, pay downs and payoffs. Processes alterations to existing loans.
• Responds to inquiries or refers inquiries to the appropriate department or person, and exhibits the necessary follow through with customers and/or staff involved.
• Assists with and manages projects as assigned.
• Balances daily work and callbacks.
• Processes, solves and answers customer transactions, problems or inquiries.
• Completes administrative tasks correctly and on time and supports the Bank’s goals and values.
• Maintains confidentiality of customer loan and account information.
