Job summary

Renasant Bank is seeking a Lending Assistant in Gainesville, FL to support loan officers and branch staff with data collection, loan document preparation, and closing activities. You will handle confidential files, assist in loan closings, and prepare entries to book loans.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years job related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Working knowledge of DecisionPro and nCino; SBLU, BBLU, CLU, and LSP preferred.
• Technical knowledge and strong organizational skills.
• Ability to interact tactfully with customers and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare loan papers, documents, files and correspondence.
• Aid the lender in collecting financial data to determine credit worthiness of prospects.
• Collect information reflecting current credit worthiness of customers and existing loans.
• Assist lender by monitoring overdraft lists and calling for deposits as needed.
• Assist in collection efforts through preparing correspondence and monitoring payments.
• Prepare management reports including past due reports.
• Prepare entries to book loans including loan proceeds checks.
• Assist loan customers with deposit inquiries and problems.
• Follow-up on tickler exceptions.
• Keep records and prepare master note draws, construction lines of credit, and other related credits.
• Determine loan documentation and compliance documents needed for loans.
• Close loans on a regular basis.
• Assist lender in monitoring and collecting information for notes renewal.
• Work as a Personal Banker when needed.
• Assist in other branch assignments as needed.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
