Iowa State Bank is seeking a proactive Loan Assistant to support Consumer, Agricultural, and Commercial loan officers. You will play a key role in the loan process, enabling our team to generate new business while delivering an outstanding customer experience from start to finish.

The role emphasizes accuracy, timely processing, and collaboration with lenders, borrowers, and third parties to ensure smooth closing and ongoing administration of loans.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting loan officers in consumer, agricultural, or commercial lending.
• Strong customer service orientation and communication skills.
• Ability to process loan requests and verify drawing within limits.
• Familiarity with loan documentation and regulatory requirements.
• Team player with attention to accuracy and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process loan requests verifying draw is within the proper limits for customer.
• Communicate proactively with borrowers and third parties to meet deadlines and requirements.
• Process routine customer loan transactions and respond to loan inquiries.
• Stay current on loan products, financial services, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with lenders to obtain required loan information and documentation.
• Maintain and reconcile filing fees accounts and ensure accurate loan file imaging.
• Assist in obtaining customer signatures on credit and loan documents as directed by the lender.
• Support community involvement to enhance bank visibility and service to the community.
