About this job:

The Loan Compliance Assistant will assist in ensuring the bank is adhering to lending compliance regulations. The position will work with the Compliance Loan Officer in establishing procedures and policies necessary to meet regulatory requirements.

As a Loan Compliance Assistant you will:

Maintain educational and professional expertise by completion of relevant on-line or in-house training, and/or through attendance at job related seminars, conferences, and workshops.

  • Maintain confidentiality of customer account information. Follow established policies and procedures in responding to inquiries and requests.
  • Review loan files for documentation and compliance exceptions.
  • Prepare management documentation exception reports.
  • Assist lending staff by providing answers to compliance and documentation questions.
  • Assist Compliance Loan Officer with audits for documentation/compliance accuracy.
  • Review and determine departmental compliance with established systems, policies, practices and procedures essential to adequate control.
  • Recommend modifications to existing operating control systems which will improve lending operations; recommends new systems which will achieve greater efficiency and better control, accountability, cost minimization, quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications for Success:

  • High School Diploma andthree or more years’ banking experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Must have a thorough working knowledge of commercial loan and business entity ownership documents
  • Must have experience in a commercial loan department and/or loan compliance
  • Knowledge of nCino and LaserPro is preferable.
  • Consumer loan compliance experience is a plus.
  • Must have a teamwork mentality, but also be able to work independently
  • Must have professional, friendly communication skills to convey complex ideas, questions and/or solutions both within and outside the compliance department.
  • Ability to write reports and regularbusiness correspondence.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple interrelated teams
