Job summary

OceanFirst Bank is seeking a Documentation Specialist to support the Closing Department in preparing and coordinating commercial and community loan closings. You will review approvals, perform payment and amortization calculations, and coordinate with lenders, operations, and post-closing teams to ensure timely closings.

Requirements include high school diploma and 2–4 years in loan closing or related roles, with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of lending processes and loan documentation.
• Strong regulatory and compliance awareness in lending sector.
• Proficiency with MS Office and document preparation tools.

Responsibilities

• Prepares Community Banking and Commercial Lending loan closing documentation.
• Reviews entity documentation, approvals and searches for loan documents.
• Performs calculations for payments, fees and amortization in nCino.
• Assists with due diligence items to facilitate loan documentation.
• Prepares loan closing packages and coordinates with related teams.
• Maintains updated documentation procedures and banking knowledge.
