Job summary

SouthState Bank is seeking a Loan Booking Specialist to own the processing and booking of consumer, commercial, and mortgage loans. You will review documents, ensure compliance, and maintain accurate servicing records while supporting related initiatives.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work independently and within a team, with flexibility during peak periods and access to a secure home office if telecommuting is involved.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience: Minimum 2 years in an operations role; familiarity with loan servicing.
• Certifications/Knowledge: Good interpersonal and computer skills (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Book/new/renew/modify Consumer, Commercial and Mortgage loans/lines to the core servicing system.
• Review executed loan documents for terms and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Ensure required documents are complete and compliant with bank policies and regulations.
• Respond promptly to inquiries from customers, lenders, LOAs, and other bank personnel.
• Maintain accurate records and meet production timelines and SLAs.
