USA Jet Airlines at Willow Run Airport in Belleville, MI, is seeking a Loadmaster to support on-demand airlift services across the Americas. The role involves ground operations, cargo loading, and supervision of staff to ensure safety and compliance.

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, Loadmaster experience, and the ability to obtain necessary clearances. Expect flexible hours and travel as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience as civilian or military Loadmaster preferred.
• Experience in on-demand cargo operations business highly preferred.
• Fork-lift operating experience preferred.
• Must pass Drug and Alcohol screening per FAA; CHRC/STA/TSA checks as required.
• Valid state driver’s license required; ability to operate company vehicles and equipment.
• Must maintain a valid passport and be willing to travel for work.

Responsibilities

• Perform ground operations in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121 operation specifications.
• Inspect, package, label, load, and restrain cargo per policy and regulations.
• Verify cargo and accompanying documentation for assigned flight(s).
• Supervise and direct all ground support personnel handling cargo.
• Perform TSA and customs tasks as required.
• Inspect and operate cargo loading equipment and report discrepancies to PIC/maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and orderly cabin and cargo compartments; stow equipment securely.

We understand that our teammates are our most valuable assets, so we ‘play together’ by making every effort to provide a professional and enjoyable experience, enabling careers to flourish and personal growth to be achieved.What You’ll DoThe Loadmaster will be responsible to the Manager, Air Cargo Operations.Perform ground operations in accordance with 14 CFR Part 121 operation specifications.Ensure cargo and COMAT are inspected, packaged, labeled, loaded, and restrained per company policy, procedures, and applicable government regulations.Verify the accuracy of all cargo, dangerous goods, and accompanying documentation for assigned flight(s).Supervise and direct all ground support personnel assigned to handling, loading, and off-loading assigned aircraft.Perform TSA and customs tasks as required.Inspect and operate (or supervises the operation of) all cargo loading equipment, aircraft cargo doors, restraint systems and reports any discrepancies to aircraft PIC and USA Jet Maintenance Control.Perform tasks as required to keep the aircraft cabin and cargo compartments clean and orderly and equipment properly stowed.Replace unserviceable aircraft loading equipment as soon as practicable.Be flexible for on-demand, ad-hoc, 24/7/365 flight operations.Maintain qualifications and recurrent training for job duties.Ensure timely completion and submission of end of month paysheets and expense reports.Actively participate in USA Jet Safety Programs and SMS. Report all safety concerns in a timely manner.
