We understand that our teammates are our most valuable assets, so we ‘play together’ by making every effort to provide a professional and enjoyable experience, enabling careers to flourish and personal growth to be achieved.**What You’ll Do*** Will be thoroughly familiar with the requirements of the Operations Manual, FAA Regulations, and the USA Jet General Maintenance Manual, as they apply to the operation of the Avionics Shop.* Perform the tasks assigned by the Lead Avionics Technician in accordance with the current FARs and the standards of USA Jet.* Indicate to the Lead Avionics Technician that needed progressive inspections can be accomplished.* Report to the Lead Avionics Technician any discrepancies noted during the performance of his/her assigned task.* After completion of an assigned task, the Avionics Technician will annotate all work accomplished, and when necessary, notify the Lead Avionics Technician or USA Jet Inspection Department (as applicable) when the work performed requires inspection sign-off.* Perform tasks and operate equipment in a safe and proper manner and report any unsafe conditions to the Lead Avionics Technician or the Director of Maintenance.* Responsible to actively participate in USA Jet Safety Programs and Safety Management System. Required to report all safety concerns in a timely manner. Required to ensure that they and their co-workers are performing their functions in the safest possible manner. Required to follow the standards of the Occupational Safety and Health Organization with legal authority at the location at which they are working.* Perform all tasks as assigned by your Lead or Supervisor.* Other duties as assigned by the Director of Maintenance.**What You’ll Bring*** High school diploma or general education degree (GED).* Must hold a current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate* Must maintain a valid U.S./state driver’s license* Must maintain a valid passport (U.S. or other nation).* Must be able, after training and authorization, to operate Company vehicles and equipment on airport and over-the-road.* Knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements.* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, wiring diagrams, and procedure manuals.* Ability to remain calm during adverse conditions.* Ability to think and react quickly with a sense of urgency to time-sensitive problem situations.* Detailed organizational skills.* Experience in Microsoft Windows, Word, Outlook, Teams, and Excel preferred* Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently* Eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.* Must maintain a valid passport (U.S. or other nation).* Ability to travel without restriction in and out of the U.S.* USA Jet Airlines, Inc. Aircraft Maintenance personnel must be able to travel on short notice to perform line maintenance and/or aircraft recovery/repairs as needed.
