Riverside Hotel is seeking a Receiving Clerk to supervise loading dock traffic and coordinate deliveries with Security, Banquets/Catering, Purchasing and other departments. The role requires knowledge of receiving practices and the ability to communicate effectively with staff.

This position involves moving items with hand trucks, verifying invoices, and issuing goods to appropriate departments while maintaining storeroom cleanliness and safety.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education or equivalent.
• Knowledge of receiving and loading dock practices and traffic coordination.
• Ability to perform basic math and verify invoices against purchase records.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily traffic on the loading dock and coordinate with departments for deliveries.
• Move shipments from the loading and receiving platform to storage or work areas using hand truck.
• Check incoming goods against invoices and purchase orders to ensure correct items and quantities.
• Issue credit memos and distribute goods to appropriate departments on stock requisitions.
• Maintain safety and organization of storerooms and respond to hotel emergencies when needed.
