Job summary

• Experience in receiving, purchasing, inventory, or warehouse in hospitality.
• Familiarity with BirchStreet, purchase orders, and hotel receiving operations.

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming hotel deliveries and verify against POs and invoices.
• Check deliveries for quantity, quality, damage, temperature, and expiration dates.
• Organize receiving documentation and maintain accurate records in BirchStreet.
• Coordinate with vendors and hotel departments to resolve discrepancies.
• Ensure proper labeling, stock rotation (FIFO), and secure receiving area.
• Collaborate with Finance, Purchasing, F&B, Culinary and other departments to support purchasing and invoicing processes.

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming hotel deliveries, verifying products against purchase orders and invoices, and ensuring accurate receiving records are maintained in BirchStreet and other hotel systems.

Key responsibilities include checking deliveries for quantity, quality, damage, temperature, and expiration dates; identifying and resolving discrepancies with vendors and hotel departments; processing and organizing receiving documentation; and ensuring food, beverage, alcohol, and other products are promptly delivered and properly stored.

This position will help maintain proper labeling, stock rotation, and FIFO practices, assist with inventory counts and reconciliation, and maintain a clean, safe, secure, and organized receiving area. The Receiving Clerk will also partner closely with Finance, Purchasing, Food & Beverage, Culinary, and other hotel departments to support an efficient purchasing, receiving, invoicing, and payment process.

The ideal candidate has previous receiving, purchasing, inventory, warehouse, or hospitality experience. Experience with BirchStreet, purchase orders, invoices, and hotel receiving operations is preferred.
