Job summary

Daniels Health in Salt Lake City, UT is hiring a Loader/Unloader at our medical waste treatment facility. The role covers check-in of containers, paperwork, moving waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave.

We seek individuals who enjoy variety, think practically, and work safely with PPE around medical/universal waste. This full-time position offers steady daytime hours and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Experience in a labor‑intensive, warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing role.
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly.
• Willingness to undergo a 5 panel urine drug screen.
• Willingness to pass a 7 year background check.
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately.
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and trailers on site and ensure transports are ready.
• Prepare and pack customer orders for transport.
• Move trucks and perform housekeeping duties.
• Work in a fast-paced team environment.
• Perform manual handling and labor-related activities.
• Adhere to safety codes and conduct.

Job description

We are looking to hire a Loader/Unloader for our Daniels’ medical waste treatment facility in Utah. A Loader/Unloader has a widely varying role, from checking in containers, double checking paperwork, moving/unloading specific waste containers, and operating a forklift to load an autoclave. The ideal Loader/Unloader is an individual who likes variety in their work and can think through practical problems.

LOCATION : 2950 S 900 W, South Salt Lake, UT 84119

What will your job involve?

• Loading and unloading trucks and trailers on site and ensuring all transports are prepared in a timely manner
• Preparing and packing of customer orders for transport
• Moving trucks and taking care of housekeeping duties
• Working in a fast-paced team environment
• Manual handling and labor related activities
• Adhering to safety codes and conduct

What are we looking for?

• Experience in a labor‑intensive, warehouse, industrial, or manufacturing job
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly
• Proven reliability and tenure with previous employers
• Comfortable working around medical and universal waste with PPE
• Willingness to take a 5 panel urine drug screening
• Willingness to take a 7 year background check
• Basic math and ability to read/record weights accurately
• Familiarity with weighbridge/scale systems
• Proven longevity with employers
