Job summary

Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring for a Shipping Loader/Unloader on days, focusing on preparing products for delivery. The role supports the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor in a fast-paced environment with attention to attendance and some mechanical aptitude.

You will assemble boxes/containers, label and pad items, weigh and count products, and pack according to specifications while performing clerical tasks using shop floor systems. Training provided.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with good attendance.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.
• Willingness to learn RF scanning and inventory processes.

Responsibilities

• Assemble boxes, crates, or containers for shipment.
• Label and pad containers to protect items during transit.
• Weigh, measure, and count products for packing.
• Pack items per supervisor specifications.
• Operate shop floor computer and RF equipment for clerical tasks.
• Inspect products to ensure they meet quality specs.

Shipping Loader/Unloader - Days is focused on preparing our products for delivery and reports to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor. This role is perfect for an individual who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, has excellent attendance and some mechanical skills.

What We Are Looking For:

• Assembling boxes, crates, or containers
• Labeling and marking containers and insert lining or padding material to protect items during shipment
• Weighing, measuring and counting product
• Packing items according to shipping needs or supervisors' specifications, ensuring that the crates/boxes and packages are accurately packed
• Completing clerical tasks with the ability to use shop floor computer and RF equipment
• Conducting inspections to examine products and make sure they meet our specifications for quality and aren't damage
