Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope in Rock Hill, SC is seeking a Loader/Unloader I to move materials, prepare delivery loads, and assist the Shipping Department. You will off-load and load glass and metal, secure orders for transport, and follow supervisor instructions.

The role emphasizes attention to safety, quality, and efficiency, with ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand 8–10 hours, and work overtime when required. This is a great entry point with opportunities to grow in the production environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted.
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Noise levels can be moderate to high.
• Plant facility climate conditions consistent with region.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Preparing orders for delivery (organizing, securing glass for transport).
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages; ensure complete orders are loaded and scanned.

What You’ll Get to Do

The Loader/Unloader I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another, preparing delivery trucks for customer deliveries. This includes on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Production Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates.
• Preparing orders for delivery (organizing, securing glass for transport)
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages; ensure complete orders are loaded to the customer and properly scanned.
• Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements while effectively using a tape measure.
