Oldcastle BuildingEnvelope is hiring a Loader/Unloader I in a production shipping environment in Ohio. The role focuses on moving material, off- and on-loading from tables, racks, trucks, or crates, and preparing orders for delivery under supervision.

The candidate should be detail-oriented, physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs, standing 8–10 hours, and able to work overtime. Starting pay is $24.70 per hour, with benefits and growth opportunities discussed at hiring.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to read, understand, and communicate effectively.
• Capable of working independently and prioritizing with deadlines; overtime as needed.
• Able to lift up to 75 lbs unassisted and stand 8-10 hours on concrete floors.
• Work performed in a production environment with moderate to high noise levels.

Responsibilities

• On/off-loading of product from tables, racks, trucks or crates.
• Prepare orders for delivery, organize and secure glass for transport.
• Perform duties as assigned by Supervisor in Shipping.
• Attach labels and tags to products and packages.

What You'll Get to Do

The Loader/Unloader I is focused on moving material including glass and/or metal from one position/location to another to expedite the product throughout the plant. To include on/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates and reports to the Shipping Supervisor.

This role is perfect for an individual who has an attention to detail (safety, quality, efficiency) strong work ethic/reliability and is a problem solver. A vital member of the Shipping Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.

Job responsibilities include:

• On/off-loading of the product from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, or wood crates
• Preparing orders for delivery (organizing, securing glass for transport)
• Perform work as assigned by Supervisor.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.

Starting pay is $24.70 per hour.

What We Are Looking For

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, understand, and communicate.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize work with deadlines; ability to work overtime when required.
• Work performed inside a production environment.
• Ability to lift up to 75lbs unassisted
• Ability to stand on your feet for 8-10 hours per day on a concrete floor.
• Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
• The plant facility is subject to the same climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.)
