Job summary

R+L Carriers, Inc. is seeking a Loader Supervisor for our Portland, OR Service Center to oversee dock and dispatch operations. This full-time role includes Monday–Friday shifts and opportunities to lead drivers and freight handlers.

Qualifications

• Proven basic leadership experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lead dock, dispatch operations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and logistical skills.
• Knowledge of freight handling and LTL operations preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of local city and surrounding areas.
• Prior LTL leadership experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage driver and freight handler teams.
• Coordinate dock operations and scheduling.
• Ensure safety compliance.
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures.
• Timely dispatching of LTL loads.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager.

Responsibilities will include:

• Driver and Freight Handler Management
• Coordinate Dock Operation and Driver/Freight Handler scheduling
• Ensure Safety Compliance
• Ensure quality freight handling procedures are followed
• Timely dispatching of LTL Loads
• Other duties as assigned by the Service Center Manager

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Candidates must have proven basic leadership experience.
• Must have the ability to lead in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong Organizational /Communication/ and Logistical skills with solid problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of quality freight handling preferred.
• Must have computer skills, and be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Knowledge of the City, and surrounding areas
• Prior LTL leadership experience is strongly preferred.
