Job summary

Alpine Silica is seeking an Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate loaders and other heavy equipment in our Texas plant. The role includes performing daily maintenance, following supervisor directions, and training new employees in loader operation.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, a Class C Driver License, and about two years of loader experience. Expect to work in a plant environment with safety as a top priority.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Possess Class C Driver License.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a Loader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate Loader controls to lower and tilt bucket and drive forward to move material.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not injure oneself or others.
• Operate other heavy equipment as required.
