Job summary

Alpine Silica is seeking an Equipment Operator in Texas to safely operate the Loader and other heavy equipment, transporting aggregates and feeding hoppers. You will monitor performance, follow supervisors’ instructions, and help feed and stockpile materials on site.

Daily duties include equipment maintenance, safety checks, and training new staff to operate the Loader efficiently. A Class C license, a high school diploma or GED, and 2 years Loader experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Possess a Class C Driver License.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience operating a Loader preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate the Loader and other heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
• Perform daily maintenance and safety checks of equipment.
• Understand and follow directions from supervisors as to required work area.
• Operate loader controls to move and dump material.
• Ensure a sound understanding of the issues involving ground disturbance.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance to ensure smooth operation of the Loader.
• Train new employees in the safe and efficient operation of the Loader.
• Attend daily and weekly safety meetings and inspections.
• Work in a safe, responsible manner to not injure oneself or others.
• Operate other heavy equipment and perform related duties as required.
