Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, is seeking a forklift operator to safely move products, stock materials, and prepare shipments in a manufacturing setting in North Carolina. The role requires reading slips and safety rules, basic math, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Ability to read loading slips, safety rules, operation manuals.
• Mathematical skills including basic arithmetic and measurement units.
• Follow all safety procedures.
• Able to work any shift.
• Ability to lift up to 70 lbs.
• Forklift certification preferred.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely to move product into inventory/onto and off truck.
• Operated loaders to keep production line stocked with raw materials.
• Ensure proper rotation and placement of finished goods.
• Properly label product and package product for inventory.
• Ensure packaged quantities are correct and quality is up to standards.
• Load trucks with finished product for delivery.
• Before loading product for shipment ensure packaging and pallet are safe and adequate for shipment.
• Complete daily paperwork including inspection reports for equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.
