Job summary

GardenCore is seeking a Loader Operator to operate heavy equipment per safety policies and procedures, producing high-quality lawn and garden consumables. The role requires mechanical aptitude, the ability to read specifications, and a commitment to maintenance and safe operation.

Responsibilities include reading specs, setting gauges, monitoring equipment, performing routine maintenance, and documenting daily reports.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years of related experience or equivalent
• Ability to pass internal certification program
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, manuals and procedures
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate effectively
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to perform basic math and use measurement units
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 65 lbs with team lifting

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine adjustments and material needs
• Set stops and guides for lengths per templates or scales
• Observe equipment operation and detect malfunctions
• Perform routine maintenance including lubrication, fueling and cleaning
• Complete equipment reports daily and maintain clean work area
• Move levers, shift gears, and operate steering as required
• Perform other duties as needed
