The City of St. Peters is seeking a motivated Transfer Station Loader Operator to support the City’s Solid Waste Division and operate a state-of-the-art MRF and transfer station.

This hands-on role requires experience with heavy equipment, solid waste handling, and safety compliance. Responsibilities include loading and sorting waste, routine equipment maintenance, and providing courteous service to the public.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. citizen or lawfully authorized alien worker.
• High School graduate or GED certificate.
• One year of applicable experience.
• Class B CDL with air brakes valid in Missouri or obtain within 120 days.
• CDIP permit must be obtained within 60 days of employment.

Responsabilités

• Perform skilled labor in processing and transfer of municipal solid waste and recyclables.
• Operate loaders and heavy equipment safely in a fast-paced environment.
• Assist with routine servicing and minor repairs of equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Promote a clean and safe work environment by following city safety standards.
• Provide courteous and professional customer service by responding to inquiries.
• Support onboarding and on-the-job training of new team members in safety and equipment use.
