The City of St. Robert is seeking a Laborer for the Transfer Station. This full-time position performs unskilled and semi-skilled tasks outdoors year-round under the supervision of the Transfer Station Manager.

Primary duties include maintaining waste areas, assisting patrons, operating heavy equipment, and ensuring safety. A high school diploma and valid CDL are required; some experience is preferred. The role is not night-shift and offers a benefits package.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some related experience preferred.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment and perform basic maintenance.
• Knowledge of weights and measures and OSHA safety standards.
• Proficiency in basic English grammar and communication.

Mansioni

• Maintain facility grounds and safety standards; operate baler and equipment as needed.
• Assist facility patrons with trash/recyclables and guide loading/unloading.
• Direct customers and drivers to loading areas and help with disposal.
• Inspect loads visually to prevent prohibited materials from disposal.
• Ensure proper disposal and classification of recyclables and maintain cleanliness.
