Job summary

Gray & Son Inc. seeks a loader operator to operate a large rubber tire loader in a fast-paced asphalt production facility. You will communicate by radio with plant operators and vehicles in the yard.

The role may require day or night and weekend work, and duties include stockpile management, loading trucks, and assisting in plant repairs as needed. Three to five years of heavy equipment operation experience is preferred, with a High School diploma and a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Identify and bucket stone from stockpiles into plant feeder bins daily during asphalt runs.
• Monitor feeder bin levels in multiple bins and keep stockpiles pushed up in high-traffic areas.
• Load aggregate products onto dump trucks and trailers when needed.
• Assist in crushing operations by removing finished product from piles.
• Keep roadways around plant and stockpiles clear and snow removed when necessary.
• Perform daily preventative maintenance on loader and document hours.
• Assist with plant repairs during downtime and other duties as assigned.
