Job summary

Duininck Companies is seeking a Loader Operator to operate heavy equipment on a road construction crew in Texas. The position is seasonal, full-time, and based at Randolph Air Force base with potential travel to job sites. Competitive hourly pay and a strong benefits package are offered.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of experience with heavy equipment in road construction, a valid driver’s license (CDL preferred), and a focus on safety and reliability on a dynamic field crew.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment in road construction or a related field.
• CDL preferred but not required; valid driver's license is important.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, and excavators safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure equipment is in good working order.
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and specifications.
• Collaborate with supervisors and crew to complete projects on schedule.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times.

This position with Duininck Texas offers the opportunity to operate a loader on an assigned crew performing varies stages of road construction.

This position will be working at Randolph Air Force base with additional security clearance required.

The Role

• Operate heavy equipment such as Dozers, Loaders, and Excavators in a safe and efficient manner
• Perform routine maintenance checks and ensure equipment is in good working order
• Read and interpret construction plans, grade stakes, and specifications
• Work collaboratively with supervisors and crew members to complete projects on schedule
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies at all times

Work Environment

• Walk, bend, kneel, lift, stretch and sit.
• Work outside in all weather conditions.
• Effectively handle lifting of various objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Regularly work extended/overtime hours.
• Ability to travel to job sites; may include frequent overnight stays.
