Job summary

PARR is seeking a Load Builder for our West Linn, Oregon yard. The role involves safely assembling truck loads of building materials and operating a forklift outdoors in all weather. You will read pick tickets, manage inventory, and assist with stock and paperwork to support drivers.

The position emphasizes accuracy, safety, and knowledge of weight and length limits for our fleet. We encourage proactive learning and teamwork within a family-owned, long‑standing company.

Qualifications

• OSHA certified forklift license.
• Knowledge of receiving/inventory control principles and procedures.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber, panel products and other building materials.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• Ability to concentrate and attend to detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Build safe and efficient loads by reading tickets and invoices.
• Read SKUs and identify material types to load correctly.
• Load/off-load trucks with building materials using forklift.
• Complete inventory adjustments and stock replenishment.
• Ensure paperwork is completed per policy and maintain yard cleanliness.
• Understand weight/length limits for safe loading of trucks.
• Participate in safety audits and wear proper safety gear.
