Job summary

Parr Lumber Company is seeking a Load Builder to safely and efficiently construct loads of building materials for our drivers, while receiving and stocking inventory. This role reports to the General Manager or Dispatcher and collaborates daily with the OIC, Location Supervisor, Customer Service, and drivers.

You will read pick tickets, verify SKUs, and ensure paperwork accuracy, while maintaining yard safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• OSHA-certified forklift operator.
• Experience with receiving and inventory control processes.
• Knowledge of dimension lumber and panel products.
• Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and invoices.
• Strong attention to detail in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Builds safe and efficient loads by reading tickets and invoices.
• Reads SKUs and identifies material types to assemble loads accurately.
• Load and off-load trucks using forklift and manual methods.
• Completes inventory adjustments and Puts stock away.
• Ensures appropriate paperwork is completed per company policy.
• Maintains yard cleanliness and safety practices.
• Cross-trains as backup driver/receiver/counter sales/dispatcher.
• Regularly attends product knowledge meetings.
